Here are the battings I typically have in stock for purchase. I charge by the linear inch (li) and my rolls are Queen-sized. If, for example, you have a twin-sized 70″ x 90″ quilt, I will turn use 75 linear inches of batting to quilt your quilt. I’ll send any extra batting back with your quilt.
Some battings work better with longarm quilting machines than others. The ones that I carry will give a wonderful result with the machine. I’ve gathered the descriptions of each from the manufacturer for you.
All new batts that I order come from Quilters Dream – I love the way they quilt up. I am unable to carry every Quilters Dream product, but if you want a type of batting I don’t normally carry I am happy to order it for you if I have enough lead time. Quilters Dream 80/20
The perfect blend of 80% high grade long staple USA cotton fiber paired with 20% fine denier poly microfiber for a soft, silky batting that drapes beautifully and breathes well. The long staple cotton fiber reduces shrinkage and adds stability so that the stitches can be up to 8” apart. The poly micro fibers add loft and resistance to creases/wrinkles. Our proprietary blended fibers are specially carded, cross-lapped, and needle-punched for strength, consistency, and a beautiful soft drape. There are no scrims, glues, or other binders to resist the needle, so this fine batting can be hand or machine quilted with ease. It is available in natural and white.
Quilters Dream Cotton
We start with the finest quality long staple USA cotton. Our cotton fibers are mechanically cleaned (no chemicals) and then specially carded, crosslapped and needle punched for unmatched consistency and strength. We do not use scrim, resin or glue – just 100% pure natural cotton. Because we use such a high grade of cotton and have a unique multi-step processing, Quilters Dream Cotton Batting is strong yet exceptionally soft.

Hobbs Heirloom 80/20
Heirloom Premium Cotton Blend is made from 80% long staple cotton fibers and 20% fine polyester. This combination of fibers creates a strong, longwearing batt and is very easy to handle.
The batting is lightly needle punched and treated with a soft resin to provide stability to the fibers and prevent the polyester from bearding. This process makes Heirloom Cotton Blend Batting uniquely easy to quilt by hand.
